Sandra:

they made grilled fish for dinner.  the evening was perfect.
Kylie:

just trying to keep my feet on the ground.

Sandra:

 

october is the month of autumn weather and birthdays and cakes and parties.  i hear no one complaining.

 

Kylie:

springtime flowers and blossoms are a welcome sight. as are the term holidays – i think we all need this break.

Sandra:

a little walk in the backyard and magic appears.  i love light like this, it makes even simple things look extraordinary.

Kylie:

trying to remember to stay here, in the moment. trying to not worry as much, trying to remember that everything happens for a reason and all will work out.

Sandra:

our school days have returned and along with them, the more normal (and predictable) routine that i love.

Kylie:

things are starting to get busier around here – hello spring. but im making sure that i carve out quiet time here and there.

Sandra:

i love seeing the changing light this time of year.  dreamy light like this is the perfect way to start a day.

Kylie:

we took a surprise midweek adventure up to the mountain. the one good thing about the spring cold snap, was the fresh snow!

Sandra:

i love the way the last light of the day reflects off the water in the early evening.
Kylie:

we welcomed in spring with a nice long walk to feed the ducks and then to the beach. it was the perfect way to celebrate the change of season.

Sandra:

 

mornings are beginning a little earlier these days as we ease into the school year.  i’m thankful for that familiar rhythm.

 

Kylie:

we spent the break in the rain exploring the rock-pools. i couldn’t help but stand there watching and smiling, as the kids navigated the rocks, search for crabs, muscles and other sea creatures and get excited when they found something.

Sandra:

while baking the kids some homemade muffins the other morning, a quiet feeling of autumn came over me. i love the changes during this time of year.

Kylie:

there is such calm and quiet at the beach in winter. the perfect place to clear ones head.

Sandra:

 

after a peaceful and invigorating week spent at the beach, i feel like i’m ready for the next chapter of this year.

 

Kylie:

waking up to a clear sky after a week of non-stop rain is a great feeling, it was the perfect way to start the day.
