  • today my girls and i finally took a trip down to our local asian grocer and found some rice paper/spring roll wrappers.  we’re excited to use this post as a guide to making our very own.
  • today i also had an appointment at my hair salon.  just a little trim and shape-up.
  • tonight i’m making wheat-berry salad to take to my mom’s American Idol dinner party.  I can’t wait to see who the winner will be!!
  • the next two days will be spent with my hubby home!  i love when he’s here with us.
  • his being home to occupy the kids also means that i’m hoping to get some more organizing and de-cluttering done.  i still have to make myself  let go of many more material items before i feel peaceful.  i’m trying to be more mindful of that thought.

  • the rain is still here and doesn’t look like it will be stopping any-time soon *sigh*
  • but, we have been making good use of all this time spent indoors ~ Madelyn and i made chocolate chip cookies, a yummy recipe ~ which i split in two, freezing half
  • the first batch went quite quickly, so i think we will have to bake the second batch tonight ~ if we don’t eat all the frozen cookie dough first!
  • i have been writing and blogging a bit more than usual lately, with a different writing style than i normally have. but it feels more real, more me.
  • its interesting / exciting / scary to blog how i really want to and not worry about what others might think. its amazing the power that blogging and journaling can have and the emotions it can evoke.
