they’re loving the complete absence of winter during this strange season. i, on the other hand, would love just a bit of frost and a warm fireplace.

Kylie:

the wind was wild and the waves loud.
for a place that is constantly moving and changing, i feel such stillness there.

my days lately: listening and being heard, feeling small but being in a life that is growing in all directions, letting the mundane nearly swallow me up, but noticing the grace in all those little things….

i’m loving the ideas in my newest book and my new journal is quickly filling with every day blessings. i love taking notice of the simpler things in life.

our sunday morning was wonderfully quiet. we sat at the table and i sipped my coffee while she drew. (and drew.)

i’ve put all the finishing touches on the homemade gifts and now it’s time for cookie and candy making with the kids, one of my favorite parts of the season.

Kylie:

crossing things off lists, writing new lists. but i feel like now, most things are done and we can all just relax and enjoy this time.

we’re making gift tags, right in the middle of a house full of clutter, and surprisingly, i’m okay with that.

the first time we have grown strawberries and i quickly learnt that we have to keep a good eye on the ones changing colour – the birds have eaten more strawberries than us …
